Renown sports commentator Joseph 'Reds' Perreira can now add author to his long list of accomplishments.

 

His recently published book 'Living my Dream' was co-written with Katherine Atkinson and foreword by Tony Cozier. The book recounts the story of Reds' life and overcoming obstacles, such as stammering and lack of formal education, to reach his goal of becoming one of the most sought after sports commentators in the Caribbean.

NexCyx the band

There are 4 core band members of the Barbadian band NexCyx. There are; lead singer Mahalia, Russell Padmore, Kris Clarke and Andre Clarke, with two additional members for live onstage performances. When asked about the dynamic of the band, they note that Mahalia is the main writer, and the rest of the band contributes.

OCM Network hands over Help Haiti Now funds

After news of the devasting earthquake in Haiti, One Caribbean Media launched a regional radio-thon to raise fund for the relief efforts for the people of Haiti. Over 1.1 million Barbados dollars was collected from that effort and was handed over to Reginald Dumas, former special advisor to Haiti with the United Nations and Chairman of the Medianet Haiti Relief Effort.
