
Kevin B. Hinds is respectfully known to his associates and many fans around the world as KB Kleen. A nickname he was given while still at Combermere School.
Trained for Carifesta as a set builder & stage designer from the tender age of fourteen; his background in radio started just a few years later when, upon a dare, he wrote and performed live skits for a CBC radio show called “Double Dynamite” along with two friends from Combermere school Peter Boyce and Keith Browne; later to become MADD. He has been a stable radio personality since then. KB Kleen drives on the highway to your heart weekdays on The Love Drive.
He is a founder member and Director of the Caribbean’s most popular Musical/Comedy group MADD Entertainment Inc. The group went on to be the first Group in Barbados to win a “Roadmarch” or Tune-of–the-Crop Competition. MADD has been together as a group for over 25 years. His unique comedy styling, with & without MADD, have taken him around the world on countless tours.
In 1993 he teamed up with Christine Bourne on Yess 10.4 FM for “The Dream Team”- Barbados’ first–ever double personality morning show. The show became a hit. This was shortly after breaking ground to become Barbados’ first in-store Disc Jockey.
In 1995 Kevin was partly responsible for opening of Barbados’ most successful Calypso Tent to-date, Bacchanal Time. Subsequently, winning all three major titles in it’s’ debut year with KB at the helm cementing himself as one of the funniest and most energetic MCs in the Caribbean.
Also trained in drama, Kevin has performed in many skits and full length plays in Barbados, Trinidad, United States and Europe. Kevin has excelled in Sales & public speaking with the Dale Carnegie Institute. He is a Caribbean correspondent for the BBC.
He has also been especially hand-picked by WARNER BROS to promote their television programming. Kevin was professionally tutored in Speech Pathology, Characterizations and Voice by WARNER BROS for just over five years. He holds a diploma in Psychology and a Degree in Corporate Management.
Kevin continues to work on radio. He took over “The VOB Road Runner;” a roaming studio, on Voice of Barbados 92.9 FM from 2005 as Presenter/ Producer and is still rated as one of radio’s top ten personalities for over 14 years. He currently remains as the Creative Director of MADD Entertainment Inc. and Bacchanal Time Calypso Tent and has recently been awarded for his continued dedication and outstanding contributions to Caribbean Comedy in the region and the Washington D.C Metropolitan Area presented by WPFW/89.3FM
