  .... Barbados!.  I live in the country and late in the night of christmas eve, the older men in the neighbourhood would come around to each house playing music. It was fun to listen but if you want them leave quick, you would give them something like money, ham, liquor anything!!! Also, the wheelbarrow trips to cover the yard in marl so we can have a 'white christmas'. I hated the washing down of the house because every curtain down and not putting up until late christmas eve because no one wants the neighbour to see their new curtais till morning *rolling eyes* but it is fun to talk about now!! There are so many more, I will give someone else a chance :).

  Survived our Cape May Bake and Escape Weekend! Have no idea how.
  25 women, one house, 12 dozen of 30 different types of cookies and a lotta wine. laughs and good times all around but suffering today.

                                                   I love nine mornings in st vincent 
                   Why, i love getting up in the wee hours of the morning
                   and walking to kingstown to listen to the many village choirs
                   singing. Villa in my spot where i stay i can see the ferrys
                   coming and going to the other islands, the lovely sun sets on 
                  evenings, roast breadfruit  and all the fruits i can find to eat. 
                  That's my second home. Hi Pringlerach and Jerseygirl

  I have family in Trinidad and you would not believe how much fun we have down there. We go down every other year. I can barely wait for next year!

  I was born in Trinidad but grew up in Barbados & in the hopes of not sounding very biased, I would have to say that Trinidad has the BEST Christmas season. My Mom has always tried to maintain a 'Trini Christmas'. This year I am in Barbados for Christmas & already she has started & guaranteed, I won't see the curtains till I wake up on Christmas morning =D
  
  
  
  The parang in itself is what gives you the Trini sense of the season. Once you hear parang, ya know ya in Trinidad-especially Soca Santa! Christmas is also not Christmas unless you eat a pastelle & drink some punch-de-creme. Trini Christmas is de Best!

  I agree with Rachelle 1000%..........we have the bestest Christmas in the WORLD!!!  It is fun, it is fulfilling and filled with sharing and love and merriment.   I thank God for my trini culture :-)
