Welcome to BMEX 2012… Our Products, Our Celebration.
As one of the premier manufacturing exhibitions in the region, BMEX is derived from the acronym The Barbados Manufacturers’ Exhibition. It provides an avenue for Barbadian and regional manufacturers to showcase products and services. The exhibition runs for three (3) days and will be held from Saturday 26 to Monday 28 May, 2012 at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St Michael.
These three (3) exciting days offers something for everyone …The exhibition allows manufacturers the opportunity to network with their colleagues, build strategic alliances and establish, reintroduce or promote product and service lines.
BMEX also allows the public to interact with manufacturers to find out more about the products they offer while establishing face-to-face relationships with those behind the scenes. Sampling has always been one of the important components of the exhibition, along persons to try out products they make have never thought of trying or providing feedback to manufacturers on new products. Often billed as a family event the exposition provides a babysitting service for young children … the Kidz Junction. This area features a story time, video and games.
Each busy day climaxes with energetic nights. The fashion and entertainment package is second to none. With local designers showcasing a range of talent which one might think only appear on the international stage. This year’s package features three (3) distinct shows starting at 7:00 pm nightly: Inspired by “Africa”, The Bajan Couturier and From High Fashion to Fantasy.
And not to be missed the “expo” within an expo, the Barbados 2012 Holiday & Home Furnishings & Decorative Accessories Expo. The core rational of the expo is to create synergies between designers and manufacturers in an effort create furniture pieces displaying new and traditional materials fashioned in new ways. Key rooms to be featured include: a hotel bedroom, a bathroom, an office, a den, a children’s room, a living dining combo, a kitchen with a dinette, an outdoor living area and a second kitchen.
